Bio
Ever since getting hooked on HipHop in the mid 90ies, Retainer Hitokiri has had nothing but love for the music and the culture of HipHop. Since his first shows beginning around 2005, the half-Austrian, half-Irish rapper has performed in all major locations in Styria (Austria) as well as a dozen different festivals.
Based in Graz, the second largest city in the country, he has tantalized audiences for almost 2 decades, thanks to his energetic shows, smart rhymes and powerful voice and has worked with artists and producers from Austria, France, Sweden, the USA and Canada.
As a member of the Rap crews audio.matic and RAF Entertainment, he has opened shows for the likes of RA The Rugged Man, Masta Ace and eMC, Akil The MC of Jurassic 5, Louis Logic, Delinquent Habits, DJ Marco Polo, Snowgoons, Reef the Lost Cauze, Block McLoud and Olli Banjo, to name a few.
An underground artist, whose high-energy showmanship always needed the adrenaline-kick only fans and the stage could provide him, he delights in knowing that tracks like "El Presidente", "War", "Klassick", "Hammer It Down" and, most notably, "Roadkill" have excited listeners of all ages. The videos to tracks from his solo release "Leapyear" have gained high acclaim from critics, numerous new projects are currently in the works and new tracks are released periodically...
